#MorningSoul: En Vogue “Don’t Let Go”

I’ve always loved this song and it reminds me of mornings and late nights when I lived in the UK as a teenager (showing my age). First off, Organized Noize, produced this song and they gave these ladies a banger in terms of production, the bluesy guitar and the hard-hitting drums, it was the perfect setup to be one of the lead singles off the Set It Off soundtrack in 1997. For those not old enough to know or those old enough but don’t necessarily remember, movie soundtracks, particularly black movies, were everything in the 90s. En Vogue elevated their game plan when this was released but unfortunately things didn’t quite pan out for the group down the road due to internal conflicts. Lets just all remember the seemingly better times.
